Dilution Fridge Model I

Supplier :

Simple, single-person sample exchange without a ladder, wiring bundles aren’t flexed by gravity during exchange

By creating the world’s most reliable dilution refrigerator, ZPC customers can focus on developing their quantum technologies, instead of operating their refrigerators.

ABOUT

SYSTEM FEATURES

Inverted, benchtop geometry

The mixing-chamber plate is at bench height inside a 50 × 75 cm frame, so you work on your device exactly where you would on an optical table.
This layout lets the entire machine, including its compact gas-handling rack, fit in 1.34 m² of floor space.

Robust cryostat build

All-metal seals, laser-welded joints, keep leaks and indium creep at bay.
The MXC plate is galvanically isolated from the outer frame, cutting ground-loop noise for qubit and detector work.

One-button touchscreen + open Python API

Trainees can run the fridge safely on day one, while power users script automated cooldowns, logging and device bias ramps.

Best-in-class warranty and service envelope

48-month parts warranty! Longest baseline cover in the dilution fridge market.
Lowers the cost of risk, common suppliers stop at 24–36 months.

Optics-ready & wiring-dense

Up to five 50 mm view-ports, fibre feed-throughs, 48 RF + 120 DC +30 fiber optic lines in a 150 mm diameter, 195 mm tall sample space

Extended-life, LN₂-free cold trap

The extended-life cold trap, integrated into the 45 K plate, eliminates the need for frequent monitoring and refilling of external liquid nitrogen dewars, making maintenance less of a hassle

How and Why

Cryogenic System Designs for Quantum Applications

1

Superconducting-qubit and spin-qubit device development

48 RF + 120 DC native wiring capacity, galvanic-isolated plates that cut 1/f noise, and an open Python API make it easy to script qubit bias sweeps or flux tuning.

2

Quantum photonics & optomechanics at mK

Five 50 mm line-of-sight windows plus fibre feed-throughs let you drive nanophotonic cavities or levitated optomechanical resonators

3

Millikelvin scanning-probe or nanomechanics

Bench-height MXC plate eliminates the long, flexible insert that amplifies vibration; the remote-motor PT kit measures nm scale p-p at the sample, suiting mK STM, torque magnetometry, or nanobeam resonators

4

High-field quantum-materials transport

Optional 9 T solenoid / 1 T vector magnet ships pre-wired, the 150 mm × 195 mm space leaves room for rotatable probe stations or double-angle wiring towers used in twisted-bilayer graphene and fractional-QH studies

5

Topological-superconductor / Majorana nanowire transport

Model I comfortably reaches < 20 mK with a 9 T solenoid; the day-scale cooldown/warm-up is fine for gate-map turnover while keeping He-3 costs minimal

ZPC General brochure

Model I Dilution Refrigerator

If Qnity had to pick one company that embodies the phrase quantum-ready, researcher-friendly, future-proof”, it would be Edmonton-based Zero Point Cryogenics (ZPC). In less than a decade the team has sprinted from university spin-out to internationally recognised innovator, racking up awards and high-profile installations while rewriting the rule-book on sub-Kelvin refrigeration.
Zero Point Cryogenics is the gold-standard for anyone who needs sub-Kelvin performance without dilution-fridge complexity. Their 500 mK continuous cooler is a once-in-a-generation leap.
ZPC customer support carries the enthusiasm of researchers who still remember the painful work-arounds they’ve just made obsolete. If your quantum, sensing or condensed-matter project lives below one kelvin, ZPC is the partner that turns daunting cryogenics into a push-button utility
